Every Rose has its thorns, it is said ..
Some of them have bloomed this year, even as the season has not been too kind to them, with erratic temperature, smog and all.
Miss the lovely white this year, my absolute favourite, which has stopped budding after the first flush. Must get to know its moods once it starts blooming hopefully in the coming weeks!
Such GORGEOUS roses. It takes a green thumb to grow such beautiful ones...you have the gift, my friend.
ReplyDeleteNot me, actually Sherry but these roses do not need much care except for the once a year pruning and some dry cowdung cakes now and then. What's interesting is the time they choose to bloom, first the top leaflets turning red, then a bud appearing and then another, while another one still sleeps
DeleteBeautiful! We're having an unusually cold winter; I fear it will be a long time before we're graced with roses or other flowers.
ReplyDeleteHere the climate is sub tropical but winters in Delhi usually see 3 degrees C and when the day temperatures fail to rise because of fog n all and a chilly wind from the North, it's cold enough for us! This year has been usually warm though and the southern part of the country also saw unusually heavy rains at the cost of other parts of the world. Something sure seems wrong, somewhere
