  1. I so love your very top photo. It almost makes me feel that I am there. You take wonderful photos........I must tell you how awed I am that someone on the other side of the world is reading my words. I love your comment on that sense of woner.....it, and the sheer miraculous beauty of this world, is what has gotten me through this amazing journey - which feels like several lifetimes:) Thank you, thank you, for being there.

  2. p.s. I would love to hear more about your life........and read more of your stunningly beautiful poetry.........see more photos of your surroundings.......I am an armchair traveler, and am endlessly fascinated by peoples' lives on this lovely old planet. One of my dreams, right after going to Africa to look after AIDS babies, would be to visit Dharamsala. A Buddhist friend of mine spent six months there working in a monastery. She was called to it.

One of my most treasured vents was attending the Vancouver Peace Summit last year and hearing the Dalai Lama speak. SUCH a beautiful being! It was enough just to be in the same small building, to breathe the same air. His photos surround me on my desk. His smile feeds me positive energy:) Anyway - this is to say I look forward to following YOUR journey and so appreciate that you are following mine..........blessings!

  3. As a photographer myself and sometime traveler, I have very much enjoyed looking at your photographs. These masks are wonderful, as is the painted screen.I learned of your site from Sherry Blue Sky, and if you don't mind I will visit again soon.

Having a few Indo-Canadian friends, I hear many stories about India...it is a country I would like to visit one day....

  4. I have no words to thank you enough, Sherry blue and Lynette, for I am just an ordinary human being and an occasional photographer with literary pretensions, nothing more! And the Rev Dalai Lama reached 75 a few days ago, lets wish him a long, long life!

  5. Yes indeed. I worry about what will happen when he makes his transition, given the political situation in his country. Another good documentary: What Remains of Us: a young girl travels inside Tibet and secretly shows Tibetans a filmed message from the Dalai Lama to his people inside Tibet. The looks on the faces of the old people just break my heart.
